Bodywork (Tuina)
Tuī (推) means to push and Ná (拿) means grasping and squeezing.
Bodywork is a form of manual and movement-based work with the body, focused on how tension, structure, and internal regulation are connected.
In my practice, bodywork is mainly influenced by Tuina — the manual therapy of traditional Chinese medicine — as well as somatic practice and osteopathic principles.
Through touch, pressure, stretching, and guided movement, the work addresses not only muscles and joints, but also how the body organizes itself as a whole.
In this approach, the body is not treated as a collection of separate parts, but as an interconnected system.

The Interconnected System
What appears as a local issue — for example in the neck or shoulders — is often related to broader patterns of tension, coordination, and internal regulation throughout the body.
For this reason, sessions combine manual techniques with active elements.
You may receive clear guidance and simple movements that help you recognize how you hold tension, how your posture is organized, and how physical and mental patterns influence each other.
Rather than being a passive treatment, the work involves your participation — allowing changes to become more stable and applicable in everyday life.
This perspective is influenced by traditional Chinese medicine, where physical structure, movement, and internal processes are understood as part of one system.
Bodywork sessions can support:
- reduction of persistent muscular tension
- improved mobility and coordination
- recovery after physical strain
- a clearer awareness of how the body functions
The work is suitable for people experiencing physical discomfort, ongoing tension, or a general sense of overload, as well as for those who want to understand their body more precisely and work with it in a more sustainable way.
Sessions are offered individually and may also be combined with movement practice or QiGong.
Bodywork sessions can support:
Relieve Pain and Tension
Chronic neck, shoulder, and back tension can be reduced by releasing deep holding patterns in the body.
Improve Mobility and Posture
Restricted movement and stiffness are addressed at their source, helping the body move more freely and with better alignment
Recover from Stress
Tuina helps regulate the nervous system, supporting deeper relaxation, better sleep, and restored energy.
